Martin Caust
Consulting
I am available for general education, general organisational development or evaluation consulting projects.
I have overseas experience as a consultant to education projects in Africa (Botswana), the Pacific (Marshall Islands), Papua New Guinea and the Philippines (Mindanao) working at the Ministry and teacher level. As a spin-off of my PhD work I have insights into education assessment structures and arrangement in a number of international settings.
I am a skilled data analyst, presenter, interviewer and researcher.
A more detailed CV is available from martin@martincaust.com.
As will be obvious from the thesis content I am particularly interested in projects related to the assessment of student learning. I am an advocate for student assessment systems based on the professional skills of teachers.
I am developing approaches to support individual schools and school systems in the enhancement of classroom assessment processes; optimising the use of information teachers already have about how students are progressing through school. Further enhancements of teachers' assessment skills and a broader vision of how assessments influence student learning are included in the development.
