Current activities
I am currently working on projects to find more data that might establish the validity, one way or the other, of the general findings presented in the thesis. While the results were appealing the data sets were historical. If anyone knows of data sets available for analysis that might add to a general understanding of the relationship between teachers perspective on learning development and test measures please let me know. Collaboration offers welcome.
Recent studies
As might be obvious from this website, I have recently completed a PhD thesis through the James Cook University, Queensland , Australia. I appreciate the support of the University and that of my principal supervisor Professor Trevor Bond.
Overseas placements
I have worked overseas on longterm placements in Botswana ('97-'99) and the Marshall Islands ('02-'04). In both cases I worked in the Ministry of Education to advise on data design and general education policy matters.
In the period 2006-2008 I worked as an evaluator on an AusAid funded elementary education project in the southern Philippines.

I work from Canberra, Australia.
Previous work
Prior to my overseas and PhD work, I worked in a number roles and positions in the Education Department of South Australia (which changed it's name a number of times over the 30 years of my connection with it). Roles ranged from
